A local paving operation have large parts that are in need of repair.

During the paving process it is necessary to agitate the pavement material used on the roadway. The “beater”, that our customer uses to agitate the asphalt mixture, has worn making it unsafe to use.

A Lindsay Machine Works machinist turns the area on one of our manual engine lathes, getting it ready for the welder.

In our welding department, the welder uses a welding positioner and lays a bead smoothly and continuously around the damaged area. After the part is welded, it’s sent back to the lathe for turning to the original O.D. size.

When the repair has been turned, the beater is ready for work.  Yet another successful repair of an OEM part for a valued customer in the Kansas City area.
