PVC, or Polyvinyl Chloride, is a material often used in the food processing industry. This custom part was machined at Lindsay Machine Works Inc. on the Hurco 5 Axis CNC Milling Center.
Resistance to flame, electrical, water, chemical, and abrasion in various applications, PVC is typically well known choice for food related parts. There are two types of PVC: Type 1 (most common, general purpose), Type 2 (more impact resistant than Type 1) for complex fabrication, and foamed PVC (lighter weight).
