A Kansas City manufacturing company ordered large custom rollers from Lindsay Machine Works.
This large part was created using several processes utilizing multiple departments in our precision machine shop.
The drum body was cut and machined in our conventional machine shop department using large engine lathes.
The endplates for the part were cut using our waterjet.
The holes of the endplate were drilled using a CNC mill in our CNC machine shop area.
Finally, the endplates were welded in place in our welding and fabrication department. Each process at Lindsay Machine Works begins and ends with quality control procedures which help maintain accuracy.
This part required a wide array of processes not available in most machine shops under one roof. It demonstrates the numerous processes and level of efficiency and convenience LMW has to offer its customers.
