Lindsay Machine Works was recently asked to repair a large component for an international manufacturing company in the Kansas City area.  Our precision machine shop has a vast array of capabilities, including large repairs.

This repair calls for a series of processes from our manual or conventional machining department.  Using the Scharmann Horizontal Boring Mill, pin fits are line bored enlarging them to accept the newly manufactured sleeves.

The new sleeves are turned on several engine lathes.  Our lathe diameter capacity is 0 to 57 inches, allowing for a wide range of turning capabilities.

Once the new parts have passed through our Quality Control Department, the component is reassembled and delivered to our client ahead of schedule.
