This “One-Off” came from a Kansas City aggregate operation is in need of a precision machine shop for a new auger bit modified to better suit their needs.  Our machinists begin by removing the old hub from the original part.  A new and improved auger is built around the old hub to better serve our client’s needs.

The part is changed significantly.  The welder fabricates the part according to the customer’s new specifications.

After a great deal of welding, the part begins to take shape.

Using steel and cast digging teeth provided by the client, a new auger bit is created.

Once each piece is solidly welded, and inspected, this auger is ready for action.  This new auger weighs over 3000 pounds!  Lindsay Machine Works is happy to make this improved and re-manufactured assembly, which is saving our client lots of time and money.
