Lindsay Machine Works Inc. has acquired the new Fortus 380mc 3D Printer by Stratasys, the inventor of ABS FDM technology. Using this budding new technology, Lindsay Machine Works has raised their capabilities to include rapid prototyping using SOLIDWorks Software to produce production grade, end-use ABS or polycarbonate products.
This machine is able to print fairly large parts, with a build envelope of 14 in. x 12 in. x 12 in. Our 3D Printer will expedite prototyping as well as a multiple small part builds saving our clients hundreds, even thousands in the end.
Recently the Fortus 380mc was in the news and showcased by the Medical industry. This particular 3D printing technology is able to duplicate images from real MRIs scans, (featured on the TV drama “Grey’s ¬Anatomy”). This technology has offered life changing helmets for infants, as well as a number of other customized tools and prosthetics.
